AREA The Fort Worth VolksFolks Club would like to invite you to their 11th annual VW show in Fort Worth. Once again the show is at Lockheed Martin Recreational Area, which provides plenty of shaded areas in case it is sunny. It provides covered pavilions in case of rain (hopefully won't rain). There are plenty of play ground areas for the kiddos. However, we just found out that the amusement park rides are not operational this year (may be sold due to insurance issues). Sorry about that folks, we were disappointed too. However, we will be providing FREE putt-putt for several hours at the small course at LMRA. There will be lots of music, lots of VW friends, $0.50 hot dogs, drinks, chips, and cookies and lots of VWs to see. Please note that although this is a recreational area, NO PETS are allowed. This is a family event and there will be lots of children at the show, so please NO alcohol either. A coin show will also be held the same day in the conference building, but there will still be plenty of places to park tow vehicles. There is a self-service car wash only minutes away on Bryant Irvin Road (South of LMRA), and a full service car wash a few miles away on Bryant Irvin Road (across 820 / I-20). Show Entry is $10 (pre-register) and $15 at the door. There will be plenty of door prizes, goody bags to the first 100 registrants and a raffle the day of the show. All proceeds this year is going to a Fort Worth charity, The WARM Place, which offers grieve counseling for children and young adults.
